This goes out to all my water sports enthusiasts and beachcombers.

I love my dry bag at the beach! No sand and no water on the inside, easy to clean, and peace of mind that my stuff is dry. The only exception is my dry bag doesn’t come with straps, it’s old school, and it’s no problem.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to add straps to bags that don’t have any so you can carry them like a backpack. As always be mindful of your anchor points so everything is secure, and watch your weight carrying for more comfortable outings and adventures. As always you can use your favorite carabiners and there is no one way to attach the net to the bag, I just show you what I have found easiest with what I provide. Please enjoy the All American backpack accessory.

To begin wrap the top of the original external net with the short tail around the bag handle and let it hang. Then attach the fixed tail hook to a mesh, make it as tight as you may need, and you will see the bottom of the bag has an opening that needs to cinch up and close and this is done by weaving the long tail in and out thru meshes until closed. ( see the first two rows of pics.)

(The last 3 rows of pics) show that the long tail will come up to the bag handle clip point and just pass that long tail thru the loop or mesh of the net and bring that long tail back down to clip at bottom of the bag to a mesh to create your straps. Pretty much creating a harness or nest for the dry bag to sit in. Stuff the net, and carry easy!
