PACK HOLD CARRY 〰️
Dump pouch/sling…( watch the Video at the end.)
To start, spread the original external backpack net out with the short tail on top. Grab the two bottom corners, the fixed end (no tail, and you’ll see a clip on the mesh.), and join it to the long tail end. Where my finger is holding the two ends, and the hole/void below is where you’re closing up. Use the long tail end and weave in and out of meshes till you reach the end by the short tail, then create a knot so the weaving doesn’t slide like a drawstring. (I’ll give you a tip: undo the daisy chain so the cord will slide through the hoops, and the drawstring opening and closing will be smoother than the choppy daisy chain running through the loops to close and open your tote.)
Weave the long tail
To close it up weave the long tail in and out meshes till you get to the end. Where my hand is I make a knot around that last mesh so the weave doesn’t act like a drawstring. (unless you want that kind of action.) Then I weave in out again to bring my long tail back up. the remainder will be my strap.
Pouch Pocket
Lift the two ends to see your pouch pocket, weave the long tail back up, and tie a knot at the end mesh so the long tail won’t slip through like a drawstring. Clip the remainder of the long tail to that other side to create your strap.
Use your favorite carabiners
Next, you have many possibilities to close up your pouch. You can use your favorite carabiners, the clips that I provide, or the short tail to close up completely or maybe halfway, and then use a clip or carabiner…you decide.
There is no wrong way, just be mindful of your contents don’t fall thru meshes, and double-check your pocket closure, and your set, add it to your pack or carry it as is! enjoy and have fun on your adventures…..and thanks for bringing me along!
Watch the video on changing the original external backpack net to a Dump Pouch / Sling.
Add it to the PALS webbing of your molle/Tactical pack for an extra pocket.
